Things for teens to do in Vail, Colorado

There is plenty to do during the day in the Vail Valley. When evening comes, kids want to spend some time on their own, and parents might want a night out. Here are some tips to please the adolescents:

Adventure Ridge at Eagle’s Nest above LionsHead is a cool place to check out for games and nighttime tubing, ski-biking, and ice skating.

Street Beat outdoor concerts take place every Wednesday in winter at Checkpoint Charlie in Vail Village. Take a look at the Funafar Calendar of Events at www.vail.funafar.com for headliners at these shows.

In the LionsHead Parking Structure, Twenty Below is a teen hangout with pool tables, air hockey, music, and movies. It’s a place to gather.

If you have your own transportation, try the Back Bowl in Eagle with 20 bowling lanes, pool tables, arcades, food and big screen TVs. Parents can go off for a little time on their own and dine out in one of Eagle’s restaurants like The Dusty Boot or Angelino or enjoy the delicious food and full bar at the Bowlmore inside the back bowl Bowling Alley while the kids play.

Kids will also love GameStop in Traer Creek, Avon for videogame systems and renting awesome new games. Store hours are Monday to Saturday from 10am to 9pm and Sunday from noon to 6pm.
