Bravo gives over 40 free performances at Vail area libraries, churches, parks, and the hospital. The annual Free Family Concert will be July 16 at the Ford Amphitheater. This National Repertory Orchestra performance attracts families, summer camps, local students, and residents of Colorado retirement homes. Bravo’s Music Matters programs provide music education through free public performances, pre-concert talks, the instrument petting zoo (traveling exhibit that gives kids hands-on experience with real instruments), and the Young Composers’ Project (a program that teaches children how to compose music, later performed by New York Philharmonic musicians).

Vail and Beaver Creek strive for Ski Mountain Safety Awareness-Know the Rules of the Mountain

Safety First

No Tolerance at Vail Resorts

Increasing mountain safety is the name of the game: More slow zones, speed control by radar, more yellow jackets, and any employee can take your pass away.   Some DONT’S ~~~

1. Skiing outside your ability level endangers you and those around you who.

2. Young children traveling at high speeds straight down the hill in a pizza wedge!

3.  Hitting the brakes in the middle of a catwalk. Catwalks are the easiest way down the mountain, making traversing to other areas a breeze and enabling skiers and snowboarders to skip sections of runs they aren’t comfortable with.

4. Stopping in a blind spot.

5. Blind Jumping is a NO-NO!  Jumping over rollers, knolls, hips, terrain park jumps, or catwalks not knowing what is on the other side is extremely dangerous and inappropriate.

6.  Cutting ropes into closed areas.
