Summer Art Appreciation - Free Art on Wednesdays
Take a guided walk through Vail Village and open your eyes to public art. June 29 through August 31, 11am – Free
Meet at the Vail Village Visitor Information Center on the top level of the parking structure for a free guiding walking tour of Vail Village and the public art collection. After an introduction to the Colorado Ski & Snowboard Museum, the tour winds it way through the Village with discussions of the history of the Vail Valley, the founding of Vail Mountain, the master planning of the Village and the importance of site specific commissioned art. The Town’s public art collection includes nearly 40 works ranging from sculptures, murals, playground components, and site-integrated art.
