The Vail Golf Club will celebrate 45 years of golf in the Vail Valley this summer and crews are already gearing up for the golf season by removing snow off the greens. The Vail Golf Club renovated its 40-year-old irrigation system in 2009, rebuilt tee box three in 2009 and rebuilt two bridges in 2010. This summer, the golf club will complete work to tee box 7, which will include a new play area. Additionally, the golf club was recognized as a top course on the western slope in 2010 and most female-friendly course in 2009 by readers of Colorado Avid Golfer Magazine. According to Vail Golf Club Director Alice Plain, these continual improvements offer golfers better play at one of the valley’s best courses. “This summer will once again be a great summer of golf in Vail,” said Plain. “With some of the best views in the valley, the most walkable course and great staff, we’re ready for the golf season to begin.”
Happy Valley Grill and the food and beverage operations will open as soon as the golf course opens for the season offering world-class cuisine and Colorado mountain favorites. The Grill also is available year-round for booking private parties, including weddings and special events.
