GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (Sept. 21, 2010) — Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park will wrap up its successful Music on the Mountain concert series this weekend with The Missing Link Band on Saturday, Sept. 25. Guests will be able to ride the tram for free, up to a $12 value, with the donation of at least one food item — a can, a jar of peanut butter or a box of pasta — for LIFT-UP per rider, beginning at 4 p.m. The band will perform from 6 – 10 p.m.
“The Music on the Mountain series has definitely been a success this year,” said Steve Beckley, who owns Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park with his wife Jeanne. “We collected an additional 668 cans of food for the LIFT-UP food pantry last weekend during the Cottonwood Acoustic concert, which brings the total so far to 3,582 cans.”
The Missing Link Band will entertain the crowd with a blend of dance rock, funk and groove tunes. This popular local band features Erik MacPhearson, lead vocals and guitar, Holly Guerin, lead vocals, Paul Barker, bass guitar and backup vocals and Nick Kuhlmann, drums and backup vocals.
Beckley added, “We’re hoping that even more folks will come up to enjoy the final concert this weekend so that we can give LIFT-UP another big boost before the holiday season.”
The Glenwood Springs Post Independent, The Aspen Times and KSPN Radio have joined Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park as media partners for the series.
The Lookout Grille and the Snack Shack will be open for dinner and refreshments during the concerts, with $2.50 Coors Lights, $3 Coronas and glasses of wine, and $4 well drinks.
