Vail Film Festival March 31-April 3 2011

The Vail Film Festival is produced by the Vail Film Institute, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, and is committed to showcasing new and innovative films and fostering filmmaking through classes, panels and workshops. The Vail Film Festival has been named “One of the Top 10 Destination Film Festivals in the World” by MovieMaker magazine. The festival offers filmmakers four days of films, networking, parties, skiing, and live music featuring acclaimed musicians from L.A.’s Hotel Cafe. The festival draws some of the countries top film critics, producers and distributors. The eighth annual Vail Film Festival, set in Vail, Colorado, will be held March 31 – April 3, 2011.

The 2010 Vail Film Festival screened over 90 films and included tributes to actor/producer Jane Seymour, Actor/Filmmaker Zach Braff, and Actor Dennis Haysbert. The 2010 Festival drew over 14,000 attendees and 300 filmmakers. Past Vail Film Festival tribute recipients and attendees include Kevin Smith, Michelle Monaghan, Luke Wilson, Adrian Grenier, Harold Ramis, Tim Daly, Olivia Wilde, Jeremy Davies, Jesse Eisenberg, Sophia Bush, Hayden Panettiere, Kip Pardue, and Edward Pressman. The festival is proud to have screened the directorial debuts of Luke Wilson, Tiffani Thiessen, and David Duchovny, and the North American premiere of Richard Linklater’s “Before Sunset” starring Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy.
