THURSDAY, JULY 8     Take a Road Trip to Eagle for ShowDown Town concert

The Town of Eagle presents this down-home family night out.  Band:  Full Belly
Funk, rock, blues and Reggae. Full Belly creates all-American music. Groove-induced audiences take to the dance floor with their funky beats, and improvisational tones. The series runs Thursday evenings throughout the summer at the Eagle Town Park in downtown Eagle. The Town of Eagle presents this down-home family night out, complete with fantastic free music, kids activities, picnics and more. A brand new stage, updated playground and new restroom facilities. SATURDAY, JULY 10      FREE Iron Kids Expo at Avon Lake in Avon, CO

Expo booths and activities for the family. This centralized area will feature expo booths for sampling, product testing, retail, motivation and nutrition clinics and interactive activities for the whole family. IronKids Triathlon is Sunday. Free to spectators.

The IronKids’ mission is to inspire and motivate youth through the sport to lead an active, positive and healthy lifestyle.
The national event series, targeting children ages six to 15 years old, will offer an interactive weekend experience for the entire family. Distances for the IronKids Triathlon will vary, depending on the age of participants: * Junior (ages 6 to 8): 50-yard swim, 2-mile bike and 500-yard run * Intermediate (ages 9 to 11): 150-yard swim, 4-mile bike and 1-mile run * Senior (ages 12 to 15): 300-yard swim, 8-mile bike and 2-mile run

Edwards Fine Arts and Wine Festival

FRIDAY July 9 – SUNDAY July 11   Edwards Fine Art and Wine Festival  FREE

Hosted by Thunderbird Artists, this is a juried arts festival with exhibits in outdoor settings. The show features paintings in all mediums, batiks, mixed media, clay, copper and stone sculptures, etched and stained glass, pottery. Enjoy wine tastings and food. 10am to 5pm

While you’re in Eagle, go for a bike ride on the wandering paths with gorgeous views of the Sawatch Range and New York Mountain. Stop in at The Kind Cyclist to rent a bike and get any equipment you may need.
