Guests can enjoy an evening of “front porch contemporary” music, drink specials and a free tram ride with a canned food donation to benefit LIFT-UP
GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (June 16, 2010) — Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park in Glenwood Springs, Colo., is pleased to present Jed Clampit in a benefit concert on Saturday, June 26, from 5 – 9 p.m. Guests will be able to enjoy an evening of live music by this award-winning musician, along with a free tram ride, in exchange for a canned food donation to benefit the LIFT-UP food pantry. The “can-for-a-tram” rides will begin at 4 p.m. The Lookout Grille and Iron Mountain Saloon will be open for dinner and refreshments, featuring $2.50 Coors Lights, $3 Coronas and glasses of wine, and $4 well drinks.
From his humble beginnings in Monticello, Ark., Jed has traveled cost-to-coast for more than four decades, developing his unique brand of music. He calls it “front porch contemporary,” a perfect name for the warm, welcoming vocals and easy acoustic melodies that have charmed audiences for so many years.
“We are thrilled to have Jed Clampit perform at the Park and to continue to support LIFT-UP,” said Steve Beckley, who owns the Adventure Park with his wife Jeanne. “We’d also like to thank everyone who came up for our summer kick-off party in May; we collected more than 530 cans of food for our community food pantry that night.”
The Adventure Park’s rides and attractions will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. During the concert, a Day Pass will cost just $27 with the free tram ride, and will include unlimited access to the Alpine Coaster, new Giant Canyon Swing, Ft. WhereAmI maze, Bungee Trampolines, 4D Ride Theater, Laser Tag, Demon the mechanical bull, Wild West Wagon, Speleobox cave simulator, Doc’s Rock climbing wall and Giddy Up! Western ride.
The last tram ride up will be at 8 p.m. For more information, visit www.GlenwoodCaverns.com or call 800-530-1635 or 970-945-4228, ext. 0.
