Young Pianist to play "The Swan" in Bravo's Imagination Celebration Vail event

Sometimes dreams come true. With a lot of hard work and determination, opportunities show themselves. Say “yes,” and look where it might take you.

This happened to Katherine Bellino of Evergreen, Colorado – who will be sharing the stage at the Bravo!

Bravo! 2010 Imagination Celebration

Vail Music Festival’s Imagination Celebration -

Music has played a huge role in Katherine’s life.  She started playing the piano at age seven, performed in musicals, attended three years at Rocky Ridge Music Camp, Denver University’s Lamont School of Music summer program, master classes at Beethoven’s Society in San Jose State, and is a member of the high school Choir. Katherine has participated in many competitions and under the guidance of Rodney Mobley has received an honorable mention and a second place in the Yamaha and Kawai completion’s held this year. She attends Evergreen High School as a freshman and is on the school’s cheerleading squad.

At a very young age, Katherine attended the BRAVO Music Festival with her parents and younger sister. She believes that the opportunity to experience the wide variety of artists as well as the impression music leaves on others, as she watched the crowds, moved her to challenge herself to become a musician. She was very fortunate to have shared the stage with the Rochester Philharmonic and then the National Repertory Orchestra as a guest conductor. She witnessed, up close, the amazing musicians and their passion for the music they shared with everyone. She could not help but be in awe.

Katherine says, “Bravo has so many opportunities waiting behind their doors. All you have to do is wait and when the right door opens, seize the opportunity whether that is playing or just enjoying the music on a summer’s night. As a young musician, I know piano and music will take me for the ride of my life.”
