EARTH will be celebrated in Vail on Tuesday with an Energy Star Homes Workshop from 8:30 to 12:30pm at Donovan Pavilion in Vail. Cost is $10. Learn about Energy Star qualifications. “Get the Lead Out”  at an E-Waste recycling event at Eagle Fairgrounds on Saturday April 24. Small fees for each recycled item. Goal is 99% recycled waste and zero percent goes to the Landfill.  Pick up after yourself! and everyone else at this year’s 11th Annual Community Pride Highway Cleanup on May 1 from 9am to 12noon. From Vail Pass and Red Cliff to Gypsum. Volunteers work in teams of 10 people and covr a one-mile segment of highway. Trash ‘n’ Spash on Friday April 23 in Gypsum means a free family event that will focus on eco-friendly fun and conservation. Funny name? People will be asked to build a full-sized boat our of recycled and reclaimed materials at the Rec Center pool. Cash prizes.
