When you come away on vacation to ski, snowboard, snowmobile, go dogsledding or snowshoe, you want to be up to the activity physically. Changes in altitude can affect you and your ability to play! This increases your oxygen absorption: you need as much oxygen as you can get. Take your vitamins. Proper nutrition increases your biological performance. Drink water. Dehydration is a major symptom of altitude sickness. Eat high carbohydrate foods that are lower in salts. Give alcohol a rest, especially at first. Limit amounts after that. Alternate drinking some water when you are out at night. If you need oxygen, you can reserve a medical oxygen concentrator.
