GLENWOOD CAVERNS ADVENTURE PARK KICKS OFF “WINTER FUN PASS” AND NEW WINTER HOURS
New pass is a great value at just $29 per person for Tram Ride, Cave Tour, and unlimited access to the Canyon Flyer alpine coaster, 4D Theater and Laser Tag Arena
GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (Oct. 30, 2009) — Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park in Glenwood Springs, Colo., is welcoming winter with a specially priced pass that’s big on value. The Winter Fun Pass includes a Tram Ride and park admission, a guided tour of Glenwood Caverns & Historic Fairy Caves, plus unlimited access to the Canyon Flyer alpine coaster, 4D Theater, and Laser Tag Arena for just $29 per person. The Adventure Park is home to the only alpine coaster and the only 4-dimensional theater in Colorado.
“If purchased separately, the Tram Ride, Cave Tour, and one turn on each of the three attractions cost $43, so the Winter Fun Pass really is a good deal. You save up to $14 per person, plus get unlimited turns on the attractions,” explained Steve Beckley, who owns Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park with his wife Jeanne.
Other prices remain the same: a Tram Ride and park admission is $12 for adults and $8 for children ages 3-12; a Cave Tour and Tram Ride costs $22 for adults and $16 for children ages 3-12. The Lookout Grille and General Store gift shop will be open throughout the winter as well. A scenic ride in a fully enclosed gondola, followed by lunch beside the fire and a little souvenir and gift shopping, is another way to enjoy a day at the Park this winter.
“Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park complements the seven area ski mountains by offering a unique way to enjoy Colorado during the wintertime,” added Beckley. “The Winter Fun Pass is an affordable option for locals and visitors looking for some family fun.”
On Nov. 2, the Adventure Park will begin its winter hours. The Park will be open Thursday through Sunday each week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the last Cave Tour starting at 3:30 p.m., and will be closed Monday through Wednesday. During the week of Thanksgiving, the Park will be open Wednesday, closed Thursday, and open Friday through Sunday. Over the holidays, the Park will be open 10a.m. – 5 p.m. daily Dec. 17 through Jan. 3, excluding Christmas Day.
