For a weekend of tradition and summer activities, it’s time for the 112th Glenwood Springs Strawberry Days June 19, 20 and 21 at Sayre (Strawberry) Park. This year’s festival includes a parade, live music, KidsFest, food, artisan fair and carnival.

“A Chinese Celebration” parade will feature the traditional Miss Strawberry Days entourage, community floats, music and much more. The parade is Saturday at 10:00 a.m.

The main stage music begins Friday night with Opie Gone Bad, an energetic funk-rock band. Saturday night, The Informants will be the musical headline. Sunday will feature AOA (Alive on Arrival), an enigmatic quintet of vocals, sax, keyboards, bass and drums.

The KidsFest will return with special activities for kids – face painting, a petting zoo, pony rides, Vern’s Mini Train and more.

The food court includes Greek food, Navajo tacos, fresh fruit, ice cream, and beverages. There’s the 100-year tradition of free strawberries and ice cream served Saturday at noon in Strawberry Park.
