With more than 500 scenic miles of single track and roads through Vail, Beaver Creek, Edwards and the surrounding White River National Forest it’s easy to see why mountain biking is popular in the high country.
The Vail Bike Path from East Vail to West Vail is paved, and additional paved paths take you to Edwards although some stretches are on the Frontage Road.
Vail and Beaver Creek offer exceptional mountain bike trails. Vail Pass is perfect for mountain bikes or road bikes. This scenic, winding trail begins in Vail and ends in Frisco but is not for the faint of heart; it reaches an altitude of over 10,000 feet.
Glenwood Canyon is a paved recreational trail that follows the Colorado River to the east end of this spectacular canyon. There are restroom facilities, drinking fountains and picnic areas along the way and gorgeous views.
