Cellist Alisa Weilerstein to play Bravo! Music Festival with The Philadelphia Orchestra
World-renowned cellist Alisa Weilerstein performs with The Philadelphia Orchestra this summer under the baton of Rossen Milanov. At only 26 years old, Weilerstein has attracted widespread attention for playing that combines a natural virtuosic command and technical precision. The Detroit News said, “This gifted musician already epitomizes the true soloist…Weilerstein displays that rare combination of technical brilliance, sensibility, and irrepressible temperament.” The intensity and passion of her playing have been compared to that of a rock star.
