SKI AND GOLF SAME DAY AT THE VAIL GOLF CLUB

Vail Golf Club Offers Indoor Lesson

Book a lesson and use the club’s golf swing analysis program, with cameras, sound and light to capture your swing in real-time and slow motion, and record it. Head Pro Jeanne Sutherland says with swing analysis golfers can study their swing plane, setup, motion and impact position. They can compare with proven professionals and track progress against their own past swing mechanics and even e-mail the video to friends. To view the program in action, go to: http://www.vailrec.com/videoAP.cfm “We’re excited to offer this product as a great way to prepare for the upcoming golf season,” says Sutherland. “Skiers and riders can enjoy a day on the mountain and then join us for golf. It’s the best of both worlds.”

Swing analysis lessons are by appointment only from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday -Friday. Lessons cost $35 per 30 minute session or three for $100 by calling Sutherland at 479-2260 ext. 4.

The Vail Golf Club will open mid-May for the 2009 season at the base of the Gore Mountain Range. Golfers will enjoy a unique 18-hole, par 71 experience at 8,200 feet elevation, as well as full service golf shop, group and corporate outings, professional instruction, launch monitor, driving range, practice area, club storage and rentals, demo days and the Happy Valley Grill.
