Contemporary jazz trumpeter Chris Botti is a gifted instrumentalist, a talented composer and a charismatic performer who has created a virtual genre-of-one. Having launched his career as Sting’s trumpet player and later as the opening act on Sting’s Sacred Love tour, Botti’s exquisite talent is everywhere. His numerous appearances on television and stage with high-profile friends have opened doors for Botti’s musical development.
Botti’s career has also seen him collaborate with and tour alongside musical icons Sting, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, and Natalie Merchant.
Botti has wowed audiences in his previous two performances at the Vilar Performing Arts Center. For this special return engagement, the VPAC brings the Colorado Symphony Orchestra to Beaver Creek to offer a rich, orchestral jazz backdrop for Botti’s outstanding trumpet sound.
