Birds of Prey Winter World Cup Ski Race at Beaver Creek Colorado


Here’s some information from the Vail Valley Foundation for tonight’s Race Week celebrations.Birds of Prey Thursday Night Lights is tonight at the base of Beaver Creek’s Centennial ski lift.

There will be free food, music, and autographs from the US Ski Team. World Cup Party Time.

The evening begins with a special edition of Beaver Creek’s Thursday Night Lights. Intermediate and advanced skiers can register at the Beaver Creek Ski School desk starting at 5pm, and no lift ticket is required. At 5:30pm, skiers ride up Hay Meadow gondola, and ski back down to the base with glowsticks.

After the ski-down, there will be free hot chocolate and cookies, music courtesy of the U.S. Air Force Drum & Bugle Corps, an autograph session with members of the U.S. Ski Team and precision skiing expo by the Beaver Creek Demo Team.

The evening features a Birds of Prey Race Week tradition: the public bib and athlete presentation. Bibs will be presented to the top seeded racers for Friday’s Downhill.

And the grand finale: a double dose of fireworks!
