The National Mining Museum in Leadville, Colorado is the perfect place to learn about mining’s history. Located just 30 minutes from the legendary ski resorts of Vail and Beaver Creek, the museum offers exciting exhibits like a  realistic walk-through replica of an underground mine and prospector’s cave.  An incredible collection of gold, silver, ores, crystals and minerals. A huge 23-ounce gold nugget was found near Leadville. There are also larger-than-life bronze sculptures, a model railroad and detailed dioramas. Kids will enjoy the fun, educational, interactive exhibits. The museum is located in beautiful Leadville and is open 9am-5pm daily. (See coupon)
