Exodus: “The best music album of the 20th century” - Time Magazine
Reggae legends The Wailers, originally made famous as the support band for Bob Marley, bring their time-honored sound to the stage in Beaver Creek for an encore performance. The Exodus Tour features hits from the 1977 album of the same name.
The Exodus Tour pays homage to one of the most respected and enduring records of the 20th century. Exodus was released on June 3, 1977 by Bob Marley & The Wailers and is widely considered one of the best Marley recordings of all time. The audience will hear hits including “Exodus,” “Jammin,” “Three Little Birds,” “One Love/People Get Ready” and “Turn Your Light Down Low.”
Together with Bob Marley, The Wailers have sold in excess of 250 million albums. The Wailers have performed with international acts including Sting, the Fugees, Stevie Wonder and Carlos Santana, as well as reggae legends Peter Tosh, Jimmy Cliff and Burning Spear. As the greatest living exponents of Jamaica’s reggae tradition, they have played to an estimated 24 million people. They have been the first reggae band to tour new territories, including Africa and the Far East.
The Wailers return to the Vail Valley for their third performance in as many years, after selling out the VPAC in 2008 and performing for a standing-room only Hot Summer Nights crowd at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in 2007.
